• Summary

    Gaining meaningful employment after their studies will help students prosper and contribute to the development of the economies of the UK and Egypt. Entrepreneurship and employability and transferable skills will be embedded within the curriculum to complement the specific technical knowledge and skills gained during their studies. The modules and projects will be designed to bridge the gap between technology, business, and management expertise. It will enable technologist to gain a deeper understanding of the business challenges and wealth creation. Business and management focused students will gain an appreciation of technology and its role in developing new products and services that fuel economic growth. Input, from industry and active researchers, into the teaching and research will ensure the curriculum is current and relevant to businesses. The mix of experienced and early career researchers (ECRs) will contribute to improving gender balance in STEM subjects and provide mentoring to develop future leaders. The transfer of knowledge between industry and academia will give added benefits in terms of developing the programme and personnel involved. Wider knowledge exchange will take place during the workshops, placements, meetings, and projects.
