Treatment of T2DM by gene editing

Summary

Therapeutic targeting of deregulated genetic network of insulin resistance may open a new hope for treating T2DM that is very common in Egypt. We will perform a computational analysis to retrieve lncRNA-associated ceRNAs involved in T2DM , validate in patients’ and cell line. We will evaluate gene editing as a potential therapeutic strategy to modulate the expression of deregulated network in T2DM. Meanwhile, we will transfer gene editing technology to junior researchers
