  • Research Activities

    This research group works in the areas of intelligent mechatronic systems development, robotics, control systems design, automation, autonomous and smart systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Our research main activities focus on applying mechatronic system design approaches in the areas of industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture and energy. Our research topics are covering two main categories:

    1.    Fundamental research which focuses on the improvements and providing innovative solutions in the following topics:

    a.      Robot mechanisms and actuation systems design optimization

    b.     Inspired designs by nature

    c.      Dynamics modelling and simulation

    d.     Advanced and intelligent control

    e.      Optimizations for better energy consumptions in machines and robotics

    f.      Smart actuators design

    g.     Locomotion analysis and control techniques of humans and robotics

    h.     Autonomous reasoning, cognition, planning, and decision making in machines and robotics

    i.       Perceptions and multi-sensor fusion design

    j.       Discrete event systems modeling and control
